Continued from page 1 fora near-record 21 years, has decided to withdraw his nomina tion, leaving incumbent Bert Elli ott and newcomers Deloris Souch and Wayne Riley acclaimed to the three seats available. Morris Reeve Doug Fraser and Deputy Reeve Clem McLellan were both acclaimed to their former positions earlier after their seats went unopposed, making an-election in Morris unnecessary on November 14. “You can’t last forever in this business." Mr. Grasby said. “Three years down the line just looked too far ahead for me to consider again.” West Wawanosh voters will be going to the polls November 14 to choose between two sitting coun cillors who are both seeking to move up to the deputy reeve chair. When the deadline for with drawals of nominations passed last Tuesday night, Katherine Todd had withdrawn her nomination for council in favour of seeking to compete for the deputy reeve’s position against Rhea Hamilton- Seeger. That move left a vacancy on council and nominations were re-opened for the single council seat. Acclaimed to that post was Roy Taylor, RR 2, Auburn. At filing deadline on October 17, both McKillop and Colborne Townships had all positions filled by acclamation except for a shortage of one councillor each. In both municipalities, nominations were re-opened for one more day, with Sharon McClure of RR 1, Seaforth, coming forward to fill the vacant seat on McKillop council, while Edward B. Giesbrecht ot RR 5, Goderich, has come forward to fill Colborne’s last seat. No election will be necessan in McKillop Twp. as a result, but separate school supporters will have to go to the polls iir Colborne to choose between Gordon Phillips of Clinton and Louise Martin of RR 3, Goderich, both of whom are seeking the opportunity to repre sent the new school electoral district of Hullett, Colborne, Ash field, West Wawanosh and the Town of Clinton on the Huron- Perth Separate School Board. f Business & Professional Directory BREAK THE PATTERN OF POVERTY Please contribute to use OttawaCanada!K1P5B1 BILL’S autoWRECKING & REPAIR 56 Sparks •will pick up scrap vehicles •sell new & used tires •towing 887-6510 I (613) 234-6827 BE PREPARED FOR WINTER BLAKE Septic Tank Service Fast Efficient24 Hour Service CALL RAY 887-6800 McKILLOP MUTUAL INSURANCE COMPANY 91 Main St. South, Seaforth Office 527-0400 FARM, HOME, COMMERCIAL AUTO COVERAGES Phil's Refrigeration and Appliance Service Dependable service to all makesand models of major domestic appliances Wingham 887-9062 AGENTS GENERAL J.
