Dr. Robert Rumball of Toronto, a talented speaker greatly in de mand province wide, accepted an invitation, issued one year ago, to speak at its anniversary 11 a.m. service, next Sunday, Oct. 30. At 3 p.m., if all goes well, he will arrive in Keswick in the Lake Simcoe district where he will deliver another one of his dynamic messages in his inimitable style of delivery. Rev. Bob Rumball is well known to many people across Canada, for in 1976 he was nominated for the position of Moderator of the U nited Church, losing out narrowly to Lois Wilson. In earlier years, Bob Rumball was a topnotch football player in the C.F.L., playing for the Hamil ton Tiger Cats. Some years ago, he was a speaker at the Crusade held in Blyth Memorial Hall. Three years ago, Dr. Rumball spoke at a special service in Wesley Willis Church, Clinton. Not only is this man a talented speaker but a writer as well. Readers of the “Renewal Fellow ship Magazine - For Concerned United Church People” - look forward each month to Rev. Rumball'sconcise commentary entitled “Rumballing Along”. Rev. Rumball is presently mini ster of the Evangelical Church of the Deaf in Toronto, and is the founder and president of the Bob Rumball Community Centre for the Deaf. People, hearing thai lie is going to be speaking in their area, if at all possible, flock to hear what this man has to say. Next Sunday's topic at Blyth is “People God Uses”. Those who have heard him know that he will be down to earth, that he will speak not one word too many and that he will make instant communication with his audience.
