Brussels Council Brussels People Compiled by Marilyn Higgins Call887-9089 Mrs. Barbara Knight and Mrs. Ruby Steiss were in Windsor for the weekend attending the gradua tion of Miss Donelda Stiles who was graduating from Teachers’ College with a Bachelor of Educa tion. A large congregation of mem bers and friends attended the 112th Anniversary Service at Brussels United Church on Sunday morning. The Sacred Heart Folk Church Choir from Wingham were guests and provided music that was joyfully sung and enthusiastically received. The children’s story, floral arrangements, and the con gregational hymn singing all add ed to the “special feeling’’ of the day. Reverend Charles Carpen tier’s sermon “Fullness of Life’’ was well presented and most suitable for the occasion. After church many of the congregation stayed to enjoy the Stone Soup served by members of the Sunday School. The balance of the lunch was prepared by the United Church Women. A special thank you to everyone who helped make this 112th anniversary a very special day.
