MUNICIPAL ELECTORS
TOWNSHIP OF MORRIS
Notice is hereby given to the Municipal Electors of the
Townshipof Morris in the County of Huron, that Nomination
Forms may be filed in the office of the undersigned
commencing Thursday, October 13, 1988 until 5 p.m. on
MONDAY, OCTOBER 17, 1988.
For the purposes of nominating persons for the following
offices:
1. Reeve
Deputy Reeve
Three Councillors
for the Township of Morris
2. [1] One representative for the Huron County Board of
Education for the electoral districts of the Township of
Morris and theTownshipof Turnberry. This form must be
filed at the Morris Township Municipal Office.
3. [1] One representative for the Huron Perth Roman
Catholic Separate School Board for the electoral districts
of the Township of Morris, T urnberry, Howick, East
Wawanosh, Grey; Town of Wingham; and the Villages of
Blyth and Brussels. This form must be filed at the Howick
Township Municipal Office.
Each member nominated, if elected, is to serve a three year
term commencing December 1, 1988 until November 30,
1991.
Electors are hereby required to take notice and govern
themselves accordingly, and further take notice that the
manner in which the said nominations shall be filed is set
forth in the Municipal Elections Act. Nomination forms and
full particulars of procedures to be followed may be obtained
from the undersigned.
If a greater number of candidates than required to fill the
office are nominated and make the required declarations,
notice of the time for holding of the poll, including the
advance polls and notice of the last day of making
appl ications for a certificate to vote by proxy is shown below.
And Further Take Notice:
1. A nominee may withdraw from a nomination at any time
before 5:00 p.m. in the afternoon of T uesday, October 18,
1988.
2. Nominations must be signed by at least ten electors and
the nominee must make a declaration of consent and
qualifications.
3. Where the number of candidates for an office is not
sufficient to fill the number of vacancies to which
candidates may be elected, on the Wednesday following
nomination day, October 19, 1988, the clerk may
between the hours of 9a.m.and 5p.m., receive and
certify additional nominations for the office in respect to
which there was an insufficient number of candidates.
Should an Election be required, the Election will be held on
Monday, November 14, 1988 between the hours of 10:00
a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Advance Polls will be held on Saturday, November 5, 1988
and Thursday, November 10,1988, between the hours of 10
a.m.and8p.m. at the Township of Morris Municipal Office.
Deadline for obtaining certificates to vote by proxy is
November 14, 1988 at 5:00 p.m.

G. White, of Walkerton, in his 70th
year.
Dear husband of the former Mary
Brophy; dear father of Mary of
London, Ont., Barbara (Mrs.
Leonard Metcalf) of Mildmay,
Frances (Mrs. Keith Ellis) of
Walkerton, Catherine (Mrs. Dani
el Durrer) of London, John of
Calgary, Michael and Joseph, both
of Walkerton; dear brother of
Leona (Mrs. Stanley Black) of

his parents, George White and

Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Walk
erton, where Mass of Christian
Burial was celebrated. Interment
in Calvary Cemetery, Walkerton.
Parish prayers were held at the
funeral home. Memorial donations
to the Heart and Stroke Foundation
of Ontario, gratefully acknowledg
ed as expressions of sympathy.
