Stratford Festival announces Young Company play bill Bernard Hopkins, Director of the Stratford Festival’s Young Company has announced that Shakespeare’s early comedy, “Love’s Labour’s Lost’’ and Tho mas Middleton’s “The Change ling,’’ the finest tragedy of the Jacobean period, will comprise the Young Company’s 1989 playbill. “I have chosen the Company’s 1989 playbill for young people’’, Mr. Hopkins said. “Love’s La bour’s Lost’’ is a very youthful play and it is very early Shakespeare, his first play. It is a comedy about young people and will therefore be more easily accomplished by young performers. The Change- ling has the most clarified plot line of all the Jacobean repertoire and it also is about young people. “The actors in this Company have to be young, but also the directors, costume designers, lightingdesigners, composers, stage managers, etc. - everything about it must be youthful. It is meantfor the stretching of all of the participants within roles that they are perhaps not quite ready for. “This Company should also be very much a part of the total Festival, with all the facets of the main Company serving as readily available, invaluable resources to its members. This is important to our profession as a link, we have to be willing to hold hands.” 1989 Young Company produc tions at the Third Stage, begin previews June 14th and 15th, open June20th and 21st, and will run through to Labour Day weekend. Casting information will be an nounced when complete. 'Wedd&K} 7^ [MARK] Guess Who? PIZZA PIZZA PIZZA THURS., FRI..SAT. 5P.M.-12A.M.
