Couple exchanges vows in Kitchener church
Mr. and Mrs. J. Ecsedi
ECSEDI - PECKITT
St. Andrew’s Presbyterian
Church, Kitchener, was the setting
July 2, 1988 for the marriage of
Tammy Peckitt and Jimmy Ecsedi.
Rev. Johnston officiated.
The bride is the youngest
daughter of Russell and Joyce
Peckitt of Waterloo. The groom is
the son of Miklos and Judy Ecsedi
also of Waterloo.
Given in marriage by her
parents, the bride looked lovely in a
formal gown of white bridal-satin,
a full skirt with bustle effect,
rounded neckline and short sleeves
worn by her mother 25 years ago.
Tammy’s cheek was draped by
pearls from her headpiece which
matched her bouquet of white
roses.
The bride’s friend, Tina Amorim
of Kitchener was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Terry Peckitt,
Trudy Peckitt, sisters of the bride
andTammy Ecsedi, sisterofthe
groom. They all wore identical
cocktail-length gowns of blue
satin.
Fernando Amorim, friend of the
groom, was best man. Guests were
ushered by Wayne Schneider and
Rob Hughes, friends of the bride
and groom and Sean Ecsedi, cousin
of the groom. Christopher Mc-
Neish, cousin of the bride, was ring
bearer.
A reception followed the cere
mony at the Waterloo Rod and Gun
Club. They honeymoonedin the
Dominican Republic and now
reside in Waterloo. Tammy Ecsedi
is the granddaughter of George
and Jean Marshall of Wingham.

Seniors discuss Meals on Wheels
The Blyth Swinging Seniors met
last Wednesday for their regular
monthly meeting. This began with
a much enjoyed pot luck dinner.
Following this, Vera Badley led a
lively Sing Song with Ella Rich
mond at the piano. “Happy
Birthday’’ was sung to those
having September birthdays, and
“Happy Anniversary’’ to Mr. and
Mrs. Reg. Shutlz.
President John Hesselwood
opened the business period by
reading two interesting poems.
Nora Kelly gave the treasurer’s
report.
A discussion about Meals on
Wheels ensued but it was felt they
are not necessary at the present
time. However, it was decided that
all the meetings should begin with
a pot luck dinner at 12 noon.
Further business showed John
Hesselwood appointed as the
representative at the Memorial
Hall Board meetings.
John announced that the Fall
Rally will be in Exeter Legion Hall
on Friday, October 14, with
registration at 12:30.
Effie McCall brought in the
report of the Nominating Commit
tee which was accepted as follows:

Hospital to get
ultrasound
equipment
A decision on which particular
unit of ultrasound equipment will
be purchased by the Wingham and
District Hospital is expected to be
made before the next meeting of
the hospital’s board of governors.
Approval for the purchase was
granted by the board earlier this
year.
At the board’s regular Septem
ber meeting, Executive Director
Norman Hayes reported that a
committee of representatives from
four hospitals in this area is still
onsidering its decision.
Since each of the four hospitals -
Vingham, Alexandra Marine and
eneral in Goderich. Palmerston
nd District, and Listowel Memor-
il - is in the market for ultrasound
equipment, they have grouped
together for greater purchasing
leverage.
Mr. Hayes will report on the
committee’s decision at the regu
lar October board meeting.

as per Section 35[3] Municipal Elections Act
NOTICE is hereby given to the Municipal Electors of the
Town of Clinton, Townships of Hullett, Colborne, Ashfield
and West Wawanosh, in the County of Huron, that the
period during which nomination papers may be filed in the
office of the Clerk for the purpose of Municipal Elections,
will commence THURSDAY, OCTOBER 13, 1988 and end
MONDAY, OCTOBER 17,1988,at5:00p.m., during normal
office hours.
The office for which nominations shall be received is:

FURTHER, take notice that, information as per Section 36
regarding the manner in which said nominations shall be
filed, is available at the Clerk’s Office, 23 Albert Street,
Clinton. EACH of the members so nominated, if elected, are
to serve three-year term, 1989, 1990 and 1991 commencing
December 1, 1988.
THE REQUIRED Nomination Forms may be obtained from
the Clerk’s Office and must be completed and filed with the
Clerk of the Town of Clinton by the above deadline.
TAKE NOTICE that for the purpose of school support, the
determination as to whether an elector is a public school
elector or a separate school elector shall be in accordance
with the support indicated on the list of electors delivered to
the Clerk under Section 22, as revised up to the time the

IF a greater number of candidates than required to fill the
said offices are nominated, and make their required
declarations, notice of the time for the holding of the poll,
including the advance polls, and the notice of the last day for
making applications for a certificate to vote by proxy will be

TAKE NOTICE that persons may be nominated as
candidates in an election between 9 o’clock in the forenoon
and 5 o’clock in the afternoon of nomination day, Monday,
October 17,1988, but nothing in section 35 of the Municipal
Elections Act, R.S.0.1980, c. 308 prevents a person filing a
nomination paper with the clerk during his normal office
hours during the four days immediately preceding
nomination day.

Electors are hereby required to take notice and govern
themselves accordingly, and further take notice that the
manner in which said nominations shall be filed is set forth in

Education, Huron-Perth Roman Catholic Separate School

up at the East Wawanosh Municipal Office, but Take Notice
following are the offices where such nomination forms must
be filed:

Huron-Per th Roman Catholic S.S. Board: Township of
Howick Trustees, Police Village of Auburn: Township of
West Wawanosh.
If a greater number of candidates than required to fill the
said offices are nominated and make the required
declarations, notice of the time for the holding of the poll,
including the ad vance poll and not ice of the last day for
making applications for a certificate to vote by proxy will be
given forthwith.
AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that where the number of
candidates for an office who are nominated at the end of
nomination day is not sufficient to fill the number of
vacancies to which the candidates may be elected,
subsection 1 of section 40 respecting acclamation applies to
those candidates and, on the Wednesday, following
nomination day, October 19,1988, the clerk may, between
the hours of 9 o’clock in the forenoon and 5 o’clock in the
afternoon, receive and certify additional nominations for the
remaining vacancies in the office in respect of which there
was an insufficient number of candidates.
