The second annual Baby Show held as the first event of the 1988 Brussels Fall Fair was an outstand­ ing success by all accounts. Organized by Fair Directors Brian Rutledge and Barb Mutter and MC’dby Wayne Lowe, theshowthi* year attracted only 13 of the small competitors, which made it just about the right length to keep smiles on the faces of entrants and observers alike. All the babies in the Brussels Fall Fair are winners, and follow­ ing is a list of the titles that judges Joyce Van Vliet and Marie McCut­ cheon awarded to each competitor after studying their performance before an audience. In the birth to four months category, Andrew McDonald was named the “Youngest King of the Fair’ ’; Kari-Lynn McLellan earned the title of “Most Content Baby’’; Yvonne De Wit was deemed to have the “Biggest Smile’’; and Jill Johnston claimed the title of “Biggest Eyes.” In the four to eight months division, Michael Keffer was named the “Best Fed Baby”; Krista Riley was called “Little Miss Dainty”; Jonathan Perrie- Willie won the handle “Mr. Bright Eyes”; and Amanda Dorsch was dubbed “Miss Personality.” In the eight to 12 months group, Blake Griffiths was named “Mr. Heart-Breaker of the Future”; Tate Stephenson earned the title of “Gentleman of the Year”; Cody Lee Rapson was found to have the “Biggest Smile”; and the only girl in the class, Tamara Koehler, was outstanding as “Little Miss Red­ head.” In the Senior Division, 12-18 months, Tyler Jutzi was voted in as “Trucker of the Year”; Candice McLellan won everyone’s heart as “Little Miss Friendly”; Nicole Mason was recognized as “Little Miss Blue Eyes”; Paige Steep had the “Biggest Smile”; and Mitch Ortman brought down the house as the evening’s “Best Actor.” Each contestant was given a small token of appreciation for having taken part in the show, as well as a large round of applause before leaving the stage. The many friends of Jack Conley are pleased that he is home following surgery in Victoria Hos­ pital, London, (not University as mistakenly reported last week). Mrs. Ron Burdett and son Brent, Waterloo, Mrs. Jim Keys, Sea­ forth, and Mrs. Earl Dunn, Listowel, visited Mrs. Mac Engel on Thursday. The Subject family, Atwood, held a birthday party for their mother on Oct. 1, in the Cranbrook Community Centre.
