Things can get a little confusing as people
gather for a meeting of the Huron Pioneer
Thresher and Hobby Association because
everyone is trying to catch up on what has
happened to the other members in the past
weeks or months since the last meeting.
Although the annual Thresher Reunion is
situated in Blyth, it takes people from all over
southwestern Ontario to keep the show
running. This year’s president, for instance,
is Mrs. BeaHouston of RR 3, Moorefield
(538-2623). The past president is Bill
Vincent, RR 1, Auburn (523-4381) while the
first vice-president is Bob Reid of Londes-
boro, (523-4347).
Marian Hallahan, RR 3, Blyth is secretary
and Carman Craig, RR2, Blyth (523-9568), is
treasurer.
Chairmen of the committees are: flea
market, Bruce Thomson (528-2120); gas
tractors, Bill Andrews (526-7287); outside
concessions, Bob Cook (524-9249); crafts,
Joan Houston (376-2359); special events,
Jim Sloan (363-2031); float service, John
Ellacott (455-6748); grounds, Lloyd Josling
(523-4369); campers, Joe Hallahan (523-
9668); jamboree and stepdancing and fiddle
competition, Gladys Van Egmond (482-
