Santa's Surprise
One Christmas Eve the
alarm clock didn't work so
Santa Claus didn't wake up.
Mrs. Santa Claus got the
presents ready'and hooked
up the reindeer.
Rudolph Was first arid then
the rest.• 'She delivered the
presents. When she was on
her way home, a ski fell off so
She got out and put the ski
on..
When she got home Santa
Claus woke up. He was mad
because he thought the
French Santa had taken his
sled. So he went to the
French Santa.
*l e had done his delivering
and was home in bed. Santa
returned home. Mrs. Santa
warded by going out for
dinner that night!

always, I got out a few books
to read. •
Later on that night I heard
a creaking sound downstairs.
I thought Mom had left the
cat inside. So I just went back
to sleep.
I was only asleep five
minutes when I heard a
- CRASH! I muttered to my-
self, "That doggone cat, he's
always breaking things.'
Then abcut three Minutes
later I heard a CRACK! I
muttered, "Mom's going
to hang that cat'if that's her
good dishes." There were no
more incidents that night, in
fact the cat was in; and
sleeping at the end of my
bed.
That morning I got up
when my alarm went off as
loud as a train whistle. I ran
downstairs, three steps at a
time. When' I got down, I
turned on the light expecting
to see onr.Christmas tree but
all I saw was, the leg of the
and asked, •'What's gone?"
in a sleepy voice.
"The Christmas tree," I
said. "Okay calm down, get
your dad nP," Mom dem-

Jill and I ran into Mom and
Dad's room and pounced on

I got dressed and ran out-

The night before Christ-
