Mr. and Mrs. Bob MacGil-
lvray enjoyed a. weekend in
Montreal. While in the city
they attended a hockey game,

the annual pot luck supper

en's Institute hall on Friday
evening. The proceeds from

Mr. and 'Mrs. Mark Mac-
Auley and family visited with.
Mr. and Mrs, Wayne Todd
on Sunday. Katherine and
Marietta remained with the
Todds while Mr. and Mrs.
MacAuley attended a meet-
ing in Toronto. 'Also visiting
with the Todds on Sunday
were Mt. and Mrs. Terry
Taylor and Rodney of Xincar-
dine.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mac-
Kenzie have recently return-
ed from Roseburg, Oregon
where they spent three
weeks with their daughter,
Heather, Dr. and Mrs. Kur-
aishi, proud parents of a wee
baby girl.
This community was sad-
dened last week at the.death
of George Lockhart. Mr. and
Mrs. Lockhart lived on the
fourth concession for years
before moving to Lucknow.
George resided at Pinecrest
Manor in Lucknow for the
past year.
Mrs. Olive Needham vis-
ited on the weekend with her
sister, Mr. and Mrs. Mervin
Anderson of Kincardine.
Mr. and Mrs. Nick Barclay
of St. Paul visited on the
weekend with Brenda' par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence :
Ritchie and family. Nick and
Brenda attended the Junior
Farmers banquet and dinner
held at Brookside School on.
Saturday night and showed
their slides of Ghana, Africa,
where they lived for a year,
teaching school.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
McQuillin of Sarnia visited
Sunday at his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. R. A. McQuillin
and Ron.
Hold autumn meeting

On Wednesday afternoon
—the Pentecostal— - Church
Women held their special
autumn meeting and had as
guests. Kinloss U,C,N. 'and
Kinlough W.M.S. and
A.C.W.
Mrs. Scheurwater welcom-
at the, door as Mrs. Laura
Dahmer at the organ and
Aldena Van Sligterthorst at
the piano, played sacred mel-
odies.
Mrs. Gilbert Van Sligten-
'torst presided and extended
a welcome followed by sing-
ing and prayer.
She then introduced the
guest speaker, Mrs. Ruth
Pinkerton of Agincourt, who
first expressed her pleasure
in being present and did
some reminiscing about this
area which is well known to
ter. She based her talk on
cnowing the Lord Jesus as a
?ersonal Saviour. She told of
some personal experiences in
helping folks to find the love,
joy and peace of God. She
recited a lovely old hymn and
concluded with a' children's
much loved hymn, "Jesus
Loves Me", as all the ladies
joined hands.
Several hymns were sung
during the meeting and
prayer was offered.
Mrs. Barbara Breckles
gave the offertory prayer and
she and Mrs, Stam received
the offering, afterwhich all
went to the church parlour
where a lovely luncheon and
social time was- enjoyed.
Mr. and Mrs. Raynard
Ackert flew home from Ari-
zona for the late Mrs. Ernest
Ackert Sr. funeral. Relatives,
family and friends returned
following the funeral to the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest
Ackert Jr. at Holyrood for the
luncheon. Raynard and Hilda
flew back to Mesa, Arizona
on Friday.
__Congratulations...to, --Mr.
and Mrs. Bert Nicholson on
the occasion of their 40th,
wedding anniversary.,. A love-
ly party was enjoyed on
Saturday night at the Luck-
now Legion Hall. All of their
family were home including
Donna, Karen, Evelyn, Allan
and Lois .and their. families.
The honoured couple receiv-
ed many lovely gifts and
good wishes.
On Wednesday Mr. and
Mrs. Raynard Ackert were
dinner guests with Mr. and
Mrs. Jack Scott at Ripley and
were then going to Shallow
Lake to visit with their
daughter, June, Mr. and
Mrs. Rob Shouldice and
family.
The niothers of the 1st
Holyrood Brownies had a
very successful coffee party
and bazaar on Saturday
afternoon at the Township
Hall. The proceeds will
greatly assist the leaders,
Mrs. Joyce Hedley and Mrs.
Rose. Moulton who have
given of their time and
talents to keep the Brownie
Pack in our area.
Dinner guests on Monday
with Mr. and Mrs. William .
MacPherson were Rev. Ger-
ald Thompson of Teeswater,
Mrs. John Barr and Miss
Winnifred Percy from here.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Mac-
Donald visited on Thursday
with her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Joe Guest at Walker-
ton.
Mr. and Mrs. George Bar-
rett and family of Toronto
spent the weekend with Mr.
and Mrs. David Haldenby
and family and other rela-
tives.
