This community extends
their sympathy to the relativ-
es of the late Mrs. Emerson

passed away in Florida. She
leaves to mourn her loss her
sister, Mrs. Maimie Caslick,
now of Wirtgbarn, formerly of
the village and another sist-
er,MrS, Gordon Scott (Vera) ,
of Ripley, besides several
nieces and nephews.

Culross, Mr. and Mrs. Wal-
lace Conn and Mrs. Maimie
Caslick of Wingham visited
on Friday with Mrs. Gordon
Scott, Ripley.
On Tuesday evening, Mrs.
Ivan Huisser held a C & M
party at her home at .the
garage with an attendance of
around 15. The sales lady
was Mrs. Linda Coglin, form-
erly Linda Purdon, of. Listow-
el area. The party included
Xmas items, hooks, toys,
plants, dolls, hangers, etc.
The community extends
their sympathy to Mr. and
Mrs.. Cameron Simmons of,
London in, the passing of his
father, Gordon Sim-
mons of Wingham. Cameron
Simmons renovated their
house in Whitechurch last
year and so became acquain-
ted with many folks of the
village.
On Saturday evening a
wedding reception was held
in Whitechurch Community
Memorial Hail for Mr. and
Mrs. Barry Elliott (Newly-
weds). 'Music~ for dancing
was supplied by Joe Tiffin's
orchestra. At lunch time Mr.
and Mrs. Elliott were • called
to the platform when Elroy
Laidlaw addressed them' and
Archie Pindon presented the-
couple with a gift of money
from the attenders. They
replied, thanking-the---folks-
for their gift and best wishes.
