The. Kinlough, Presbyter-
ain W.M.S, Autumn Thank-
offering was held at the
church on Wednesday After-
noon with 'visiting societies
from Teeswater, South Kin-
loss, Ripley and the Kin-
,
lough .Pentecostal and Ana-
can ladies. -
Mrs. William MacPherson
was organist and played
sacred melodies as the ladies
gathered.
Mrs. Don Reid presided
and extended a welcome.
She read, One Solitary Life.
The devotions and prayer
were given by Mrs. Glen
Haldenby. Miss VVinnifred
Percy was secretary. Miss
Marjorie Murray of Teeswat-
er, Mrs. Lloyd MacDougall
of South Kinloss , and Mrs.
Ronald Thacker gave a
Thanksgiving prayer. Mrs.
G. Van Sligtenhorst, Mrs.
Scheurwater and Mrs. Stam
sang; accompanied by Mrs.
Laura Dahmer. The offering
was received by Mrs. Don
Donnybrook ' U.C, W. met
at the home of Mrs, R.
Beiman on Wednesday night
with a good attendance.
Mrs. Ray Hanna was in
charge of the meeting and
opened , with a poem, The
Bible. A' reading, The Bible
is made up of many books,
was given by Luba Weber.
The scripture was read in
unison followed by .a poem
entitled, The New Testa-
ment, read by Mrs. R. Jeffer-
son.

throughout the afternoon and

meeting 'with prayer, after
which a social hour was spent
and a delicious lunch was

Mrs. Marretta Hodgins
returned home after spend-
ing a couple of weeks at
Niagara at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Ken Hodgins and
the girls.
Mr. arid Mrs. Donald ,
Mrs. R; Hanna, gave the
study book, What happened
to Christianity after Christ
died. She closed with a
poem.
Mrs. R. Jefferson took
over for the business. The
cook book, dinner and repair
work were all discussed.
Mrs. Hanna closed with
prayer.
A social time was enjoyed
with: Mrs. R. Jefferson and
Mrs. H. Jefferson assisting
the hostess.
Bushell had their farnily all
home over the holiday week-
end. Mr. and Mrs. Kurt
(Janet) Nielsen of Toronto,
Mr. and Mrs. Glen (Shirley_)
