Kinsmen want
ideas for new project

Kinsmen Club are again in
search of a project which
they can do to serve the
Lucknow and surrounding
area. They have, decided to
appeal to the public for ideas
and ask that any suggestions
be put in writing and sent to
the Kinsmen Club, Box 382,
Lucknow, before October 31.
At the October executive
meeting Koen Van Dijk and
Tim Martin were accepted as
new members bringing the
membership to 23., In July,

The CGIT meeting on
Monday started with a quiz
on the history of CGIT and
the uniform.
Shirley Loree and Janice
McInnes led in the service
for the new member, Carol
Ferguson. She was present-
ed with her CGIT pin and
card. Leader Laura Lee Cay-
ley presented a blue lanyard
to leader Margaret Wilson.
President Shirley Loree led
the business meeting. In-
structions 'for the Tri-County
Rally on October 18 were
given. CGIT Week is October
12 - 19. The girls will.-be
participating in their own
church services for one Sun-
day.
Peggy Gibson led in a sing
song. In groups, with- senior
girls leading, problems for
Women of the Bible were
discussed. The meeting clos-

Descendants of Archibald
MacKinnon ;and Catherine
MacDonald, pioneers of Kin-
cardine Township, gathered
for their twenty-hist annual
reunion in Ottawa. Archie
and Gene MacKinnon and
their four sons hosted the'
gathering which brought to-
gether family members from
Glammis, Maynooth, 'Mano-
tick and Petawawa.
Alan, Margaret and Cath-
erine MacKinnon who live on
the, original settlement were
at the reunion. Youngest
member of the Clan attend-
ing was Matthew Bailey from
Petawawa.
Sports events 'this year
included. Highland activities
of tossing the caber and
throwing the hammer. The
weather was ideal for both
formal and informal games
and a delicious buffet dinner
in the back garden.

Matheson wedding on Oct-
ober 8 in St. Mark's Chapel,
Wolsley Barracks, London,
Ontario. Following the wed-
ding, a reception and dinner
honouring the newlyweds
was enjoyed at the Serg-
eant's Mess, Woisley Bar-
racks. Mrs. Freeman is a
grandmother of Ed MacDon-
ald, the groom, and. Bill and
Beryl Hunter are an aunt and
uncle of the groom.
