sons Aaron and Brandon
of Vanastra visited with
her sister Carol Fludder,'
Tammy and Jason on the
weekend and also called
on Evelyn and Jack
Johnson.
Last We-dnesday
morning Mrs. Mary
Fludder accompanied by
her daughter Mrs. Pat
Cornish drove to London.
They stayed overnight
and on 'Thursday af-
ternoon they brought Joe
Fludder home from
University Hospital
where he had been a
patient undergoing tests
and treatment for a
couple of weeks.
Bill McCreath un-
derwent surgery in. St.
Joseph's Hospital in
London on the last Friday
in August. Friends here
extend best wished to Bill_
for his recovery.
The wedding
procession last Saturday
evening and the reception
dance in the Ripley
Huron Community
Complex Centre was for
newlyweds Mr. and Mrs.
Danny Walden.

Fall Fair plans
- On-.Monday- -evening of_
this week the executive
and directors of the
Ripley Agricultural
Society •held their
nienthly meeting.. Just-
two weeks from this
weekend and the Ripley
Huron Fall Fair will be on
with new things this year.
First of these is a horse
pulling competition with
Allan Farrell, Stewart
Farrell, Jack Farrell,
Jack Elliott, Edgar
Hughes and Howard
Harrison as directors and
William Hughes of Stroud
the judge. This will be
held on Friday night,
September 26, starting at
seven.
On Monday evening,
Sept. 22 there will be the
annual work bee. As•
everyone knows the in-
door classes are in the
Ripley/Huron Community
Centre Complex and that
means all the things for
the display.stands have to
come out of storage and
be set 'up. President Dan
A. MacDonald will be in
charge. Everybody turns
out for this work night
from Amberley in the
southwest .corner to the
northeast" corner of
Huron and likewise the
other way.
The school exhibits are
placed on Wednesday
afternoon, judged the
next afternoon_and put on
display Thursday
evening. On Friday.
Morning the indoor
exhibits are placed,
judged in the afternoon,
and the hall is open to
public viewing for two
hours 8 to 10 p.m:, Sep-
tember 26.
