The Kincardine Gold Rush 1980. will be held for
children ages four to eight years.
Back in the water, bathtub races are slated for
91:00 pm. Inner tube races, egg throwing con-
tests, sailpasts and sailboat races will be held,
Dinghy races, clown diving competitions, belly
flop contests and diving demonStrations will be
• held,
There will also be greased pole competitions
for children 14 and up:
A mime show "Sunshine Sketches 'in Silence"
will be 'held at .3:00 pm on Stage Two. Clown '
unicyclists arid 'members ,of the Owen. Sound.,.
Kiwanis clown corps 'will attend throughout the
afternoon There will be community group
demonstrations, frisbee throwing, celebrity trike
races, a pie Pating contest and. a kite flyer piit-,--
ting on demonstrations.
The afternoon at the harbor promises to be
big one; the only way not to miss any of the
events is to be there to:take part.
And participation is even more fun than
watching.
• Drumhead service
The Legion . Branch.183 wifl. hold a- Drumhead
Service at `Victoria Park at 2;00 pm.
• The Sing-a-long, with Norm Dunsmoor, will be
a special two hour long program starting at 7: 00
pm at Lansdowne park. In case of rain it will be
held at the Legion,
At 8: 30 pm, -The Kincardine Show" 'will be
performed at. the! community centre by high
school threatre_arts Students.
The shirt tail, parade .promises to be, an. ex-
citing, happy affair starting, at the, town hall at
11:00 pm. The parade will head down to station
beach.

The "Back to. School" at the " Kincardine
District High School- gets underway at 9: 00 am •
when former students and teachers are, most
welcome to return to their hallowed halls of
learning.
At 11:'00 am, the W.E. Thompson "back to
school" will be held with a full program of
events.
A horseshoe tournament at 1VIcPherson Park •
will start at 10:00 am, with play commencing at
10:30 am.
A Senior Citizens euchre _tournament will be on
all day Monday at the Kincardine. Hall at the
community centre.
At 9:00 am, a competitive swim meet will be
held at the community centre. And at 12 noon a .
dart'tournament . will be held at the Kincardine
Legion Hall. A minor soccer '.1riendlies"
schedule of games will be played on the
Penetangore playing fields starting at, 10:00 am.
And a mixed tennis tournament will be held at
the courts with the first game starting at 1:00 pm.
Kid's day activities
Prom 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, it will fun to be a kid
in Kincardine. A soap box derby will be run down
the race track hill on Broadway at 9:30 am. A
skateboard" contest will be held on the old
Larribton Street arena pad starting at 9: 00 am.
Pre registration is an absolute must for both of
A monster kid's parade of trikes and bikes and
other things on wheels will parade down
mainstreet at 9:00 am from Lansdowne Park. A
giant penny carnival and bingo will be held on
the old arena pad from 11:00 am to 2:00,pm.
