activities for everyone this Sunday.
For those waking up with some extra pep, they
Can enter.the wake up swim and sauna at the
community 'centre from 8: Q0-9:00 am. And can
then head out from there into the five hilotneter
road, race and fun run for all runners and
joggers.; It starts. at 9:,00 am with.registration at •
8:30, There are divisions for-all age groups,
The Great Kincardine bike races, with three,
divisions, start at 9:30 , including a 25 milerace
for those 40 and over. •
A field archery Iburnarnent will take place on
the outdoor range at Martin Quinn's Greenhouse
'on Highway 21 with registration at 8: OQ
There are five classes of competition.
If you . like baseball, you could spend your
whole day at Connaught Park where the action
gets underway at 10.00 am and runs throughout
the day. At 10:00 am, the, ladies softball "mini"
tournament will be held, At 145pm,
"Appreciation Day for Fred and Bob Tout" will
be held.for the work they, have done in sports
over the years.
At 1:00 pm, The 1Vlalcoitns "No Mar" of Kin- .
cardine Old Industrial • Softball League. 'will
compete against the Ripley Old Boys. Also at
1:00 pm, the Stratford .14illers of the Senior
Intercounty baseball leagUe will play:against the
Kincardine Royals: The championship Kin-
cardine team from the1930's will attend this
game.
At 5:00 pm, The Owen Sound Kiwanis 'Clown
Corps team_willplay against the Kincardine Old
Girls (to be confirmed) .'At 6i Q0 pm, the Slo-pitch
league all stars will play against the . Ontario
Provincial Police team.
At 7:00 pm, The North Side Ladies-will com-
pete with the South Side Ladies:
The Kincardine Minor Baseball teams will
compete in games throughout the day.
And if soccer is your sport, drop over to the
fields at the Kincardine high school where you
will see soccer at its best
Special church services
There will be special -church services at all
local churches Sunday morning starting atIff00
At 1:00 pm, the fire department's watersports
-day and apparatus -display will get-underwarat---
the Penatangore playing fields. The local
department will be competing against other area
departments for trophies donated by. The Kin-
cardine News.
Fun day at harbor
Sunday starting at 1:00 pm at the harbor, there
will be live musical entertainment, stage shows,'
magicians, races and contests. •
The concerts include the Georgian Gentlemen
Barbershoppers, Elinore Townsend, Breakwater
Blues, Senior Citizens Band, the. Knights of Jazz
and the Empire Furnace and Stove Dixieland
band.
The stage show will be highlighted by the
. Senior Citizen period costume contest, the
• crowning 'of the Senior Citizen king and queen
and the Old Boys beard growing contest finals.
Swim races and canoe races will be held,
different classes in each, both starting at 1:00
pm. Pre registration is required, phone' the
recreation office.
Other- activities at the harbor Sunday af-
ternoon include trbasure hunts, sand castle
building, the Great Gallicolouptus Hunt, co-ed
beach volleyball tournaments and parent and
child novelty races. The 1VIolson's ski divers will
land at the beach at 2: 00 pm sharp.
Tube jousting competitions will be held again,
at 1:00 pM. Tug of war competitions are slated,
ladies hammer and nail contests will be held, log
sawing will be timed and men's wrist wrestling
will be contested.
