Registration continues at the town hall,
'starting at 9:30 am and continuing through to
8:00 pm.
An 'historical and Native art display will be
held at the Kincardine Public Library on Queen
Street from 10-5: 00 pm.
The Calithumpian Parade, boasting over 150
entries, will leave Penetangore Row at 10: 30•am.
The two, mile long collection of "Those Were the
Days" entries. will travel along Penetangore to
Kincardine Avenue, head up to. Queen Street,
make its leisurely way along the whole of the
main street to Broadway, where it will>turn and
head down to Connaught Park. • , •
• (The parade route will be closed to traffic from
5; 00 am Saturday morning until IL: 00 pni or until
•
the isfinished.)
The official opening ceremonies of the 1980'
Reunion: will be held, in Connaught Park,
following the parade, approximately at I: 00 pm.
A program of band music will be performed at
the conclusion of, those ceremonies Some of the
bands participating are the Queen's York
Rangers, 'Kincardine Scottish, London City
Police Band and Toronto Signals, Local bands
are also being contacted to perform during the
afternoon program.
Admission to the park for the ceremonies and
the, concert is $2., public school $1.
Over at Victoria Park, behind the town hall,
'the "Art-in the-Park" will be held with artists
and photographers showing and selling their
pieces. The show will last from 12 noon to 6:00
pm7-In case otraini it-will be held in the town hall
auditprium.
A free bus tour of the Agri=Park and the Bruce.__
Nuclear Power Development will leave the town
hall at 1: 30 pm. Pre registration is suggested,
A free children's movie will be shown at the
Aztec Theatre at the corner of Queen and
Durham starting at 1:30 pm. The show is spon-
sored by the Business Improvement Area
association.
At 2:00 pm, an exhibition bantam soccer game
between Walkerton and Kincardine will get
underway at the high school field. There is no
charge to watch the match.
At 3:30, "The Kincardine Show" will be per-
formed by the high school theatre arts students
at the community centre. Admission is a:nominal
fee at the door.
At 6:30 pm, the Goderich Oldtimer soccer club
will play against the Kincardine Oldtimers at'the
Penetan gore playing fields. No charge.
The regular' Saturday night. Kincardine
Scottish parade will start at 7:30 instead of 8:00
pm. The concert and parade will also include the
official ribbon cutting ceremonies at the new
Lions bandshell in Victoria Park.
At 9:00 pm; Lionel Thornton will perfofm in.
Kincardine Hall and the Downchild Blues Band
will play in the arena at the community centre.
One $5,. ticket gets you into both dances.
Also at 9:00 pin, there will Ge dIncing at the
MacDonald Branch 183, 219 Larnbton Street.
At 9:30 pm, a teen dance with the band Helix
will get underway at the Kincardine District
Secondary School. A maximum 900 tickets, $3
advance, $3.50 at the door.
