The morning will feature a Back To
School at the USS No:8 Ashfield School,
now the residence of. Jim Reed, when
coffee will be served in the back yard at
the school. The living area of the
residence will open to viewing. Coffee
will be served at the Agricultural Hall
if weather does not permit the coffee
party at the school,
- Grand Opening Ceremonies will
commence at 1 p.m. Saturday at
Snyders Shell Garage,yvith Jim Reed as
master of ceremonies, Officiating will
be Dungannon's honorary mayor for
the celebration, Bob Stothers who was
born and raised in Dungannon and has
lived in the , village his entire life.
Parade judges will also be present;
Eileen Palmer, reeve of Goderich;
Murray Cardiff, MP and McDaniel
Phillips, television and radio per,
sonality. Molly Whiteside who is at-
tending the celebration as a
representative of Dungannon, Ireland
will also be present for the opening
ceremonies.
A mammoth parade is planned
following the opening ceremonies
beginning at 1:30 p.m. The parade has
over. 80 entries including the London
ShrinerS, the Ontario• Provincial Police
Band, the 8eaforth District High School
Girls Trumpet Band, floats, horses,
antique cars and machineryi a beautY
queen float and.clowns.

will be.presented on. Saturday at. 3 p,m,
and 8 p.m.; Sunday at 2:30 p.m. and on
Monday at 1 p.m; The slide presen-
tation at the Dungannon United Church
' represents life in. the Dungannon area
over the past 125 years.
Molly Whiteside of pungannen,
Ireland, will,be presented at each•of the •
presentations.
Old pictures will also , be on disPlay
for viewing in the basement -of the
Dungannon United Church during the
celebration,
A pork barbecue, will be served at the
agricultural grounds on . Saturday
afternoon at 4:30 p.m, and tickets are
$4.50 for adults, $2.50 for children under
12 and preschoolers are free. Advance
tickets are available by phoning 529-,
7526 or 529-7912. The Kinburn
Forresters 'are preparing the bar-
becue.
A Teddy Bear Parade for children
only will be held at 7 p.m .Saturday with
bicycles, baby buggies and wagons
decorated for the .°event and children
dressed in costume. '
The night will wind up with a dance to
local recording artists, Star Trek on the
open • air ,dance floor at the agricultural
grounds.
A Pancake breakfast will get things
going on 'Sunday morning, August 3.

A Church Service at the Dungannon
United Church will folio* at 10;45 a.m,

A social hour will follow the church
service and old pictures 'will be on
display in the church basement for
viewing.
A ball game (at the agricultural
grounds) at 2 p.m. will, feature the
original members of the 1968 Mens
Champions playing Bl yth.
The Dungannon Cemetery
decoration service which is being held
in conjunction with the- 125th
celebration will begin at 3:30 p.m.
A chicken barbecue will be held at •
the agricultural grounds at'4:30 p.m.
Sunday. Tickets are adults $4.50;
children $2.50'and preschoolers free.

At 8 p.m. a Variety Concert featuring
A shirt tail parade will draw the
day's events to a close at 10;30 p.m and
everybody is .. expected in. • their

On Monday, August 4, area teams
are entered in tug, of war, arm
wrestling, log sawing and rope clim-
bing events. participants can •enter the
events that day. •
During the weekend there, will be a
midway and souvenir booths- at the
agricultural grounds. Refreshment
gardens will be open all weekend at the
grounds. , .
A dunking machine will be set up ,on
the agricultural grounds for dunking
your favourite enemy,.
Window displays will be set up in the
main street store fronts featuring old
pictures and antiques.
The Labatts' balloon is scheduled for
Saturday and weather permitting, they
will be giving;free rides.
A registration booth will be open in
the former post office and everyone
who attends is asked to register.
Visitors will be able to obtain in-
formation and directions from anyone
wearing a red committee ribbon.

July 7 with the reeve and all
council present.
The business agent for tbe
International Union of Oper-
ating Engineers local-793 and
' cou_ncil negotiated a new two-
year contract for grader oper-
ators resulting in a two year
contract which provides for
9% wage increase effective
in May 1980 and 9% effect-
ive in May 1981 plus $75.00 ,
per year boot allowance plus
double time on Sundays in
place of time and a half.
After the preliminary mo-
tions y,v.ere passed, the tender
of Saugeen Spraying Ltd. for
$5,679.70 was accepted to

served for a time as town policeman and
pump house operator while employed by Rae
and Porteous as plumbing and heating
installer from 1928 to 1941, having come to
Lucknow from Blyth.
