An, enjoyable day was spent and a bountiful picnic -lunch. enjoyed by all. Special guests were the mothers of both. Bob BY BARB. Van' DIEPENBEEK The first annual'-`.`Skye' MacDonald picnic of the des- cendents • of Isabelle John- tone-an d-Jenies-MacDonald was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Al Hamilton in Ashfield Township on Sun- day, July 6th. There were 42 in attend- ance and plans were made for spring invitations to be sent out in hopes of a bigger and better gathering tiext year at the home of Doug and Nolda Scott on the first Sunday in July. An executive was nominat- ed for 1981 consisting of Al Hamilton, president; Frank Scott, Vice president; Barb VanDiepenbeek, secretary and Dorothy Hamilton, treas- urer. The oldest lady, Mrs. Sadie Hamilton, the oldest gentleman, Mr. Bob Scott, were acknowledged as well and Agnes, who were pres- ent to enjoy the day with them. Joanne Bregman, who had spent the last two weeks in. Alma,, Quebec, as an ex- change student, returned home last Thursday with Lyne Vernier of Alma, who will spend• two weeks with A as youngest girl, Lisa, daughter of Frank and Phyl- lis `Scott_ Sco and youngest boy, Gary, son OrDoug-and-Nolda Scott. The closest birthday went to—Peter-VanDiepenbeek--on July 5th while, the closest wedding anniversary went, to Jim and Amanda Hamilton, June 16. The host was acknowledg- ed. The rest of the afternoon was spent swimming and playing lawn daiis while some discussed the family history and enjoyed looking at old family pictures. good time was had by all.
