Arabian and Half- Arabian Horse Shovi Was held June 30- July '5th', 1980 at ' the Coliseum, Exhibition Place, Toronto, Canada. This .was the first time in the 14tory • of the "Nationale that they have been held in' Eastern Canada. Usually, B.C. or Alberta hosts this prestigious show. Almost 800 horses were entered in this show' coming from as far . as California, Arizona, Florida and the Canadian West. The very best of the "Proud Breed" .came to Toronto. Forty of the' beautiful Canadian National Championship, trophies were presented with one of them, the Jumper Championship going to Andegor Abnaa and his 15 year old owner and rider, Christie Messenger. Christie is the daughter of. Mr. and Mrs. Norris Messenger, RR • 5 Lucknow, formerly of Reid's Corners. She is a student at F.E. Madill School. Andegor Abnaa is a 12 year old purebred Arabian Gelding. Christie and "Ab" have been a team for 3 years, (winning and _placing in many Hunter, Jumper and Equitation classes. Christie is a student of Rob and Fran Warwick, Wicklen Hall Stables, Owen Sound and a member of the Huron- Bruce Pony Club. The National Reserve. ChamplOn.
