He was 81. • Born on February 6, 1899, he was the son, of the late Eli Ensign and Sarah Ann'Poacher of Bruce County. On August .2, 1922 he married the former Elsie. Dexter' in Lucknow. They farmed near 'Lucknow until moving to Goderich in 1931 where he worked as a guard at Sky Har- bour. . They moved to Thorolcl in .1942 where he Worked 'at the paper mill then moved to St. Catharines where he worked at the steel mill until he retired back to Goderich in 1965. He served as , a Sapper With the Rdyal Canadian Engineers, London Ontario' from May 1916 until April, 1919 in 'England. , Hp was a Member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 109,, Goderith and Vit- toria Street United Church, Goderith.
