This writer thinks back to
those years teaching all
the maths and sciences,
grades 9 to 13 inclusive,
fora thousand dollars,

easy years. All a teacher
had to do was to have a

of students in Grades 11,
12 and 13 pass the Ontario
Departmental.
Examinations written in
June. They were marked
in Toronto and the results
returned in August. Well
after four years we were
lucky enough to get a fifty
dollar raise in salary.
And we really did feel
lucky for we had a job.
