1:m gathering information for a fat lily
history and I have learned of a James
Scott of Portaferry, Northern Ireland who -
came to Lucknow, Ontario in the 1860S. It
is certain he lived at Lucknow in 1875.
Is it possible you Might find some
infermation for, me about him - or could
you put me in tench with someone who •
might help? I :would „appreciate—it very-
much and would be prepared. to pay
someone for their 'efforts on my behalf.
This James Scott had a brother at
Ashton, Ontario,•called Archibald. Scott.
James' date of birth was 1835, March 15.
He probably was buried at Lucknow. He
may have belonged to the Methodist, Or
Presbyterian Church.
I would like to trace his descendants if I
could, especially to. get in touch with
them. I plan to visit Lucknow, if any
infoi:mation is found, and follow up with a,
Personal call at his grave and hopefully
some living descendants.
