Karen Beecroft, JoAnne Henry, Mandy Miller, Grace Schill, Marion Taylor and Lois Pen- nington. Fifty hour badge's were presented to Charles, Hend- erson, John Leedham. and Doug Wood. Bands for 75 hours went to Karen Beecroft, JoAnne Henry, Mandy Miller, Grace Schill and Marion Taylor. Teen volunteer pins for 100 A-lours. of service were presented to JoAnne Henry, Grace Schill, Charles Hend- erson, Elizabeth Brydges and Karen l3eecroft. Earning their 200 hour bands were Lisa Hamilton, Lori McPherson and Grace Schill. The Most Valuable Candy- striper awards, voted on by hospital staff and presented by Mrs., Marg Black of the, hospital staff, were won by `e :Lori McPherson and Charles. Henderson. Me mothers of the Candy- stripers were, in attendance, as well as ,Mr, Wm. [Sentinel-Staff Photo] Legion installs officers Lucknow Legion Branch 309 held its 1980 Officers Intallation Tuesday, May 27 in the Lucknow Legion Hall. Eldon Mann was installed as president. Other officers installed were Russ Whitby, immediate past president; George Whitby, 1st vice president; Eldon Bradley, 2nd vice president; executive committee, Irvine Eedy, An- gus MacDonald, Dave Mof- fat, Gordon Montgomery, Freeman Olson, Bud Thomp- son, and Charles McQuillin. Irvine Eedy was appointed service officer and Rev. George Garratt was appoint- ed padre. Joan 'Robinson was instal- led as president of the Ladies Auxiliary. Other officers in- stalled were Eunice Cun- ningham, past president; Anna Johnstone, 1st vice president; Colleen Eedy, 2nd vice President; Eunice Cun— ningham i secretary; Tina Gardner, treasurer; Sgt.-At- Arms, Bertha Olson; execu- tive committee, Sadie Hamil- ton, Evelyn Barkwell, Ida Hewald, Agnes Thomson, Bertha Olson, and Sadie MacMillan. The Installation team was chaired -by Wm. Following the installation, Bud Thompson made a pres- entation to the incoming president of a wooden plaque and crest of the Netherlands' Veterans Legion of Nijmeg- en. On a recent trip to Hol- land, to commemorate the 35th anniVersary of the Lib- eration of that Counlry near the end of World War 2 on May 5, 1945, Bud and Arn- etta were guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Duppen for 10 days. Mr. Duppen is secretary 'of the Netherlands Veterans Legion in Nijmegen area. Before leaving for home, this branch provided Bud with this plaque and request- ed that it be presented and displayed in' his own Legion Branch. in Canada. This gesture was only one of --countless other- expres- sions of appreciation exper- ienced by all the members of Lucknow, Branch 309 who participated in the trip. In addition to Bud and Arnetta, they included Eldon and Ail- een Mann, Irvine and Col- leed Eedy and Gordon and Noreen MontgotnerY.
