son passed away at Iiillcrest
Place, Brandon in his 87th
Mi. Emerson was' born: in •
Kincardine Township,. Ont-
ario, on August 11th, 189$.
Be came to Manitoba hi 1911
and in 1914 he married
Bessie Sterling also of Kin-
card*, Ontario, They farm
edit the Hamiota District till
1949 when they retired to the
town of .Hamiota.
In 1973 they moved to
Brandon. Mr, Ernerson was
predeceased by his wife on
May 22, 1978, one son
Robert ..Bruce. 1968, two
sisters Dorothy • and Edna in,
1902, one brother Douglas in
1964 and• one.' great grand-
daughter, Tammie Gail Bull
on March 14, 1980. He is
survived by one son; Elton
and hiswife Rita of Rivers, \
Manitoba, three daughters
arid their, husbands, Lily,.,
Mrs, Ruisell .Bushell of
Holyrood, Ontario; Eleanor,
Mrs. A. 'Pearson of Kenora,
Ontario; Betty, Mrs. B. •Mil-
lar of Minnedosa,: Manitoba,
and: one daughter-in-law,
MrS, • M. Emerson of B.C.
Also one brether Courteney
of the U.S.A. and four ..sis-
ters,_Annetta, Mrs. Schil-
refit; Jean, Mrs. Pangman;
Lillian, 11%1rs. Van Norman,
and Kathleen, i;MrS. George
Rudkin, survive.
There are 18 grandchild-
ren, 8 great grandchildren
and 1 .great grandchild:
Funeral • service was held
at the penteo§tal Church,
Hamiota, Saturday, April 12,
1980: Interment was in the
Harniota Cemetery.

Tuesday evening with a good
attendance. '
Mrs Win. Hardy gave the
call to Worship with a Moth-
er's Day theme.
Prayer was given by Mrs.
Sam Thompson and a poem,
Mother's Day, was read.
Mrs. S. Thompson gave
the meditation, Mother's
Day of Glory. Mrs. Hardy
read several poems, Remem-
ber Mothers and Today's
Modern Grandmother.
Mrs. Stuart Chimney gave
the' secretary's'report and
Mrs, R.. Jefferson took over
for the business.
A poem, To My Mother,
was read-by Elsie Hardy;-The
meeting closed with prayer.
A social hour followed with
Mrs, R: Jefferson and Mrs.
Luba Weber assisting, the
hostess with lunch.
She is survived by. her

Park, Michigan; Howard
