was guest speaker and spoke
on gardening which was very
appropriate for this time of
year. In her talk Mrs. Argyle
said that a gardner should try
something new in their' gard-
en everyyeat and keep track
of it in a book. Also she gave
many valuable ideas for
general gardening and look-
ing after plants.

splendid talk and presented
her with a gift.

Lucknow Presbyterian
Church met for their May
meeting at Pinecrest Manor
with a good attendance. Mrs.
Brooks presided at the meet-
ing.
The opening prayer was
given by' Mrs. Robert Reid.
The Bible Study was taken by
Mrs. Jessie Johnston. The
mission study was given by
Mrs. Wallace Wilson.
Mrs. Bert Moffat presided
at the piano for the singing of
hymns and played a selection
of hymns for the residents
which they enjoyed. The
meeting closed with prayer
followed by lunch.
