club held their bowling ban-
inlet at the Town Hall in the
Institute rooms" Friday May
2. A very enjoyable pot luck
supper opened the evening.
Following slipper, trophy
'presentations were made to
the winning bowlers. Mrs.
Jean Jardine presented the
Henderson Trophy to the
Violets who were the season
champions. Captain Tina
Gardiner and her team ac-
cepted their gifts. Mrs. Jar
dine recited a lovely poem,
The Violets, which was en-
joyed.
The playoff champiOns
were the Oranges who re-
ceived their trophy presented
by Linda Stanley. Captain
Harry Lavis and his team
accepted their gifts as well.
The ladies' high single was
won by Isobel Tiffin and
presented by Thelma Brown.
Ladies' high deulbe was
presented to Anna Johnstone
by Grace Gibson.
Barry Lavis, received the
men's high single trophy
presented by Wilbur Brown.
The men's high double was
presented to Les Purvis by.
Spence. Irwin. .
The most improved lady
bowler was Luella. McPher-
son who received her trophy
from Vera Smith.. The most
improved man bowler was
Wes Young whose trophy
was presented by Les Purvis.
