The May meeting of St,
Helens W.I. was held in the
hall on Thursday, may 1 with
the newly elected president,
Mrs. Bob Aitchison and sec-

The roll call 'was a 4 horti-,
cultural hint' and brought
forth many and varied an-
swers, Group one was in
charge of the Shriners ban-
quet at 7.30 'on May 29.
`Prices were discussed for the
pie at the card party and 'for
the wedding dinners to be
served later this summer—It
was decided to have the
birthday box for another year
when each member puts in
the amount of her birthday in
change, on'the month or
following month of her birth-
day.
New drapes were diScus-
sed for thee -stage and group

volunteered'to look after

and read by Celia. Aitchison.
Readings were given by
Edith Cooper, "The way it
was" and by Isabel Gaunt,
"The General Store". Jokes
were giVen by Members with

A contest was enjoyed
When each member took'. a
Jetta- of the alphabet and
named a flower ,for- it. A
Anne Hamilton works with Doug on a standing board at the
sink while he splashes in the water, The standing board
supports a child who cannot stand on his own and offers him
free use of his hands. Anne is a student at F. E Madill
Secondary, Wingham and one of a number of volunteers who
helps out at the Silver Circle Nursery School in Wingham.
