Mrs: Raymond Leddy, president, welcomed all and the League Prayers were said in unison -followed by a' Valentine poem by Mrs. Leddy. Minutes were read by Mrs. MacDonald and corres- pondence dealt with which included '.`Thank You" not- es. It was decided to send a donation to Fr. Petrin, the group's adopted Priest in India. The annual variety night on March 14th at the Lucknow Legion was discus- sed as well as the parish monthly card parties: Mrs. O'Donnell read an article regarding Pro Life which stated as Christians we are compelled to recog- nize the message of human —dignity both before and after birth as declred by the United Nations as the rights of the child. Mrs. Walm'sley Gilmore gave two entine readings. As this is the Year of the. Family, Fr. Dentinger, in his message, Stressed the foster- ing. of Love and Devotion to God by example to our child- ren. This doesn't happen in one year but is gathered over a period of four years and on the fifth year it comes off the press and is ready for "Study". A singsong led by Mrs,' Allan MacDougall and Mrs, Bill Haldenby was also enjoyed. Mrs.- Leonard Clarke, chairfady for the program, read' a poem, "Diet Plan", and conducted a game. Mrs. Donald MacKinnon gave a reading; "Saga of a .Grand- ma".
