to the ladies of the Church
for their fine work all year
around especially in complet-
ing the new set of table-
cloths, sewing the new,,choir
gowns and arranging another
fine bazaar.

years as persons! Under the
B.N.A. Act women were not
regarded as persons until
October 18, 1929 the Lord
Chanceller declared them to
be so. Many of our key
experiences-today stem from
that declaration. Until then
women could not vote; could
not sit on juries and their
citizenship depended on
their father or their husband,
Rev. Brown challenged the
women to respond to the
opportunities and responsib-
ilities now available to them
as persons.
