At this time it could be
noted that until Mr. Dah-
mer's death a week ago,
there were three men all
born ,oh the sixth con-
cession within a stretch'of
two miles Who made , it
well over 90 years of age
Along with the late John
Dahmer, they are Dan
Wylds„of the 12th con-
cession 'west in Ashfield;
township and John
McMurchy of Lucknow.
Just a year ago John was
- the oldest -man at --the:'
Ripley fall fair. Mr. and:
Mrs. Dahmer lived. for
some years in the town of
Kincardine following
their retirement from the
farm. Then suffering ill
health -they both entered'
nursing homes. For a
-time Mr. Dahmer was at
the Pinecrest Manor in
Lucknow before moving.

Niels Ftederiksen of
Malcolm-Street is visiting
with friends in Toronto at
present. He went to the
city on Sun., Jan. 20 with
Cindy Wyld of Weston,

visiting with her brother
and wife, John and Kaien
Wyld also of Malcolm
Street.

trip to Florida. During

Dahmer died in Maitland
Manot Nursing Horne in
Goderich in his 97th year.. )'

Funeral Home in Ripley.
Temporary entombment
followed in the chapel
here. Spring burial will
be in the Ripley
cemetery. He is survived'
by his wife the former
Nora Eleanor Stirling;
two e sons Melvin and Jack
of Kincardine township;
and three daughters *
Margaret (Mrs, Lloyd-.
Cline) of Goderich, Jean'
(Mrs. Harold- Woods) of
London and Mildred
(Mrs, • Ted -Burt) Of
Kincardine township;
also a number of gran-
dchildren "' and great
grandchildren.
He was predeceased by
his parents Mr. and Mrs.
Henry Dahmer Sr. of
Huron township and
Ripley, brothers Peter
and Henry Of Millarton
and Adam of Atwood, and
one sister Lizzie of Ash-
field township. John Dah-
mer was born on Wed-
nesday, July 11, 1883, on
his parents' farm, the
east half of lot 23 on the
sixth concession west' in
Huron township. The
house and adjoining
Orchard are. gone but the
barn still stands. Just to
the east was his grand-
' parents' farm on which
of as located the Dahmer
School back in the 1880's.
John and his wife had
