Walton, seated above at far left with children Tristan, Sandy and Dennis, hosted a group of more than 30 young farmers from north Holland which toured Huron County last Saturday. The group, the equivalent of Canada’s Junior Farmers, made several stops throughout southwestern Ontario and Michigan during their two-week bus tour. Gerthea Farms was chosen as a model Canadian dairy farm partly because several members in the group knew Mr. RJjkhoff before he came to Walton eight years ago.
