Interest and curiosity has been aroused by the advertising that has appeared in the area announcing “Family Night Out’’. Upon inves tigation, it has been discovered that a very interesting evening has been planned for this Thursday, August 25. A committee made up of Ladies from the Blyth Christian Reformed and Blyth U nited Churches (Coffee Break and Story Hour Program), have put together an evening for the entire family in Blyth Public School. With school about to start, and Christmas only 17 weeks away, these ladies have decided to give people the opportunity to come out and browse through the displays which will be set up for your convenience. Perhaps you’ll find that special gift for someone, or an outfit for fall. Displays which will be available for you are: Discovery Toys (Dea Yul), Wicker (Jeanette McNeil), Ceramics (Helen Boven), Avon (Chris Bourne), Mary Kay (Lenore Scrimgeour), Tupperware (Carol McDowell), Custom Knitter (Ruth Vanderlei), Weekender Wear (Cheryl MacCleod), Cameo Liquid Embroidery (Phyllis Mitchell), Creative Circle (Corey Kuiper), and Baking (Coffee Break Commit tee). This evening will also give you the opportunity to socialize with friends in the community. Lunch will be available. Some of the proceeds from the evening will go to the Coffee Break and Story Hour ministry which has been going on in Blyth for several years. Coffee Break is an interdenom inational time of Bible study, singing, and fellowship for all women in the community. The group meets in Blyth United Church on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. There is an eight-week session in Continued on page 21 Blyth People Feme and Harvey McDowell visited for a few days recently with Murray McDowell of Cookstown.
