Nesbitt family moves to new home Rev. Dave Snihur conducted the morning service at Knox U nited Church and Mrs. Gordon Gross was the organist. ‘S Call to Worship was reail alternately followed by hymn, “Father Long Before Creation”. Rev. Snihur gave the prayer of approach followed by the Lord's Prayer in unison. The hymn, “In the Garden” was sung and the prayerchorus “HaveThinOwn Way Lord" was sung. Scripture reading from Matthew was given. Rev. Snihur's sermon was entitled Obituary Former Auburn resident dies WALTER BENJAMIN DEBOLD Walter Benjamin Debold, form­ erly of Auburn, died July 28, 1988 at Wingham and District Hospital after a long illness. He was 74 years of age. He is survivedby two daughters, Janette Bayhan, London and Chris, Mrs. Douglas Sadler of Granton as well as one daughter- in-law Betty Debold of Goderich. He was predeceased by one son Elmer and one grandson Ben. Also surviving are one brother, George, of Mitchell and four sisters: Mrs. Linda Gowing, Lis- towel; Mrs. Lilly Neeb, Mitchell, Mrs. Ada Hoffsetter, Kitchener; and Fern, Mrs. Carl Morenze, Embro. The funeral was held July 30, 1988 from the Tasker Funeral Home, Blyth with Rev. James Carne officiating. Interment was in Ball’s Cemetery. Noreen Gnay appointed Noreen Gnay of RR 1, Belgrave, has been appointed as East Wawanosh Township’s new repre­ sentative to the board of governors at the Wingham and District Hospital. Council made the appointment at its regular July meeting. Mrs. Gnay replaces Lorraine Cook as the township’s representa­ tive. Mrs. Cook recently resigned her position as representative to the hospital board because of a conflict of interest. Belgrave woman wins contest Arlyn Montgomery of RR 1, Belgrave is the winner this week of the Big Value Contest in The Citizen. For finding the Big Value symbol in the special Bridal Guide page in last week’s Citizen and having a correct entry form drawn, Arlyn wins a $25 gift certificate from Blyth Supermarket. This week the prize in the Big Value Draw is a $25 gift certificate from Remember When in Blyth. Musicians entertain Continued from page 3 violins and Lloyd Walden an omnichord. Marie Toll conducted a contest “Test Your Skill”. This was followed by the guest, Cheryl Cronin, entertaining mem­ bers with her Yamaha key board. After more games the program concluded with Cheryl accompany­ ing Aubrey Toll and the group singing a number of songs. “Compassion First”. The offering was received by Greg Park and Peter Verbeek and dedicated, with the offeratory response “We give Thee but thin own’’. The hymn “Amazing Grace" was sung followed by Benediction by Rev. Snihurand Benediction Response, “Reach out, reach out, to others” closed the service. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Anderson and Mrs. Greg Park visited recently with their son and brother William of Newmarket. Marjorie McDougall, Mr. and Mrs. StewartToll of London visited on Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Toll of RR 3, Blyth. Mr. and Mrs. Alf Weston of Torontovisitedwithher mother Mrs. Mary Rollison and brother Murray recently. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Lawlor have been vacationing at Shelter Valley campgrounds and returned home on Monday. Marjorie McDougall, June Peck and Mary Wightman attended the one day event for London Presby- X (----- f1Ik_J > itery U.C.W. held at Alma College, St. Thomas on Saturday, August 6. Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Jardin of Toronto, Bonnie Armour of Kit­ chener and Mrs. Elva Straughanof Huronview visited last weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Tom Jardin. Mrs. Ellen Johnston is on a vacation period at Huronview. Mr. and Mrs. Murray Nesbitt and family have moved to their new home in Blyth. Mrs. Lillian Letherland has returned from visiting her daugh­ ter Joyce'Lassaline and family of Calgary. Next Sunday, August 14 will be Communi'on Sunday at Knox Unit- ed Church and will also be early hymn-sing.
