Eighty-four people gathered at
the Londesboro School on July 10
for the 53rd annual Snell reunion,
coming from all parts of Ontario.
Despite the heat, the children
enjoyed an hour of games and fun
under the direction of Cheryl and
Scott Litt.
The older relatives renewed
acquaintances, some after many
years of absence from a reunion.
Barbara Bettles the historian, was
busy giving out the updated sheets
for the geanology book which she
and Al prepared over the year ; and
gathering new information ready
for 1989.
A delicious pot luck supper,
prepared by the ladies, was served
at 5:30 p. m., after which a short
business meeting was held. Renee
Snellchaired the meeting in the
absence of Bert Snell, president,
who unfortunately took ill en route
from Brampton and had to return
home.
A moment’s silence was held in
memory of those who have died
since the last reunion: Harold
Walker, William Berhns, Hattie
Snell, Clare Baechler and Bella
Mae Frank.
The new executive for 1988-89
will be: president, Bert Snell,
Snelgrove; vice-president, Renee
Snell, Clinton; secretary, Anne
Healey, Elliott Lake; sports,
