The Citizen, 1988-07-06, Page 18PAGE 18. THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, JULY 6, 1988. Local teachers on the move for new school year Staff adjustments at local schools have been announced by the Huron County Board of Education, to take effect next September in most cases. Blyth Public School may lose a half-position come September de pending on the final enrollment in kindergarten. Mary Buffinga had been a full-time kindergarten teacher last year because of the large enrollment in her class. For 1988-89 enrollment is teetering on the size where it could mean either a full-time or a half-time position. Brussels Public School’s teach ing staff strength will be up by one half-time teacher, and there will be a number of other changes at the school in September. Resource teacher Phil Parsons has been named president of the Ontario Public School Teachers' Federa tion - Huron Division for 1988-89. and his duties there mean that he will only be able to teach half-time at Brussels. Kindergarten teacher Lynne Henry will go from her present half-time position to the full-time position of Kindergarten teacher, owing to the rise in the class enrollment. Brussels Public School’s French teacher Gabrielle Boettcher will resign at the end of June, to be replaced by Margriet Knetsch from Brookside School, who will teach French half-time and aGrade 4class half-time.
