Seaforth Public School ~ Students could still use fairy’s wake up call BY JASON BEUTTENMILLER We have waited for this day for some time now. All our hard work and school fun have now reached a peak. The feelings I first had as I entered the red brick schoolhouse were of fear. I was away from home and Mom and All my favourite toys. There at the door stood Mrs. Boussey with a big smile and all my friends and soon to be new friends gathered in the circle in the round room. Circumstances were dif­ ferent for the bus folk because they entered Walton. Routines were made known, and we soon found them enforced. But we found rules wherever we went. The big thing every morning in Kindergarten was to see if you could tie your shoe laces together. Now we try to avoid tying them at all. We met the Magic Fairy also in Kindergarten, who would touch our head to awaken us. Some of us even need the Magic Fairy at home now. In Grade Four we learned what that new word fossil really meant by going to Rock Glen. We met mud, stone, slide, and falls, all in one day and just in that order. As a followup we had projects to do and to this day some of us wonder where they went.
