Property on tho south side of Dinsley Street to the south end of the Village may water on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Only evening watering permitted. BLYTH PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION Dorothy and Laurie Scott cele­ brated their 50th Wedding Anni­ versary with an Open House at their home in Blyth on June 12. Guests were in attendance from as far away as Ottawa, Midland, Oakville, London and Markdale as well as Blyth and surrounding area. The bride of 50 years ago is thedaughterofthe late Mr. and Mrs. John Caldwell and was born and raised in East Wawanosh Township. The groom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Scott and was born and raised in Morris Township. They were married on June 15, 1938. Their attendants were Ella Carter of Blyth and Ralph Caldwell of RR 3, Blyth. They lived on the home farm in Morris Township for the first 38 years of their married lives. They had two boys, Robert of RR 1, Auburn and Donald of Auburn. They also raised a niece, Mrs. Paul Gross (the former Carol Govier) of Blyth. The Scotts moved to their present home in Blyth in 1976. They have eight grandchildren and one great-grandson. A dinner was held in their honor on Saturday, June 18, followedby a short program. The couple farmed in Morris Twp. from the time of their marriage in 1938 until they moved to Blyth in 1976. Blyth Brownies hold campout at lake The 1st Blyth Brownie Pack spent a weekend at Camp Keeway- din June 10-12. The girls and leaders made grass skirts and leis Friday evening, then travelled to Mexico Saturday morning (an imaginary trip) where they explored and found buried treasure. The excitement of break­ ing a pinata and songs and skits at campfire ended the day. Sunday morning was more songsandGuidesOwnand then time for home. The program was lead by Brown Owl Brenda Burk­ holder, andBlackOwlMaryLou Stewart. Brown Owl’s niece Angela Rennick from Monkton assistedthe leaders, along with cooks, Blue Owl Carol McDonnell and Honey Owl Dorothy Schnei­ der. Everyone enjoyed a fun week­ end and the girls earned their Holiday, Explorer and Outdoor Adventure Badges. Harve McCallum took part in a lawn bowling tournament on the weekend. On Saturday, in Wing­ ham, he placed second with his partner, Jane Treleaven from Lucknow and on Sunday in Mit­ chell he placed first with his partner, Mary Higgins from Mit­ chell.
