Rebekahs hold memorial service When she turned 90 on June 16, Jennie Turnbull of Brussels hosted a party of close to 100 friends and relatives at her home, entertaining with the help of her family. To celebrate the occasion, Mrs. Turnbull was honoured with plaques from both the federal and provincial governments, as well as with a birthday cake and many lovely floral tributes. Thedaughterof the late Mr. and Mrs. J. J. McGavin of McKlllop Twp., Mrs. Turnbull and her late husband, Wilbur, farmed on the 16th Concession of Grey Twp. from the time of their marriage In 1918 until 1970, when they moved to Brussels. Mrs. Winnifred Edgar attended the wedding of her granddaughter Miss Shelley Edgar in Listowel on Saturday. Cards and gifts had been sent to sick members. Thank you notes were received as well as corre­ spondence from the Sovereign Grand Lodge D.D.P. Lillian Moses will meet with her staff at the lodge hall June 22 at 7:30 p.m. The Oddfellow Rebekah Church Ser­ vice is to be held at the United Church Sunday, June 26 at 11 a.m. Inaugural meeting for Huron District No. 23 is to be held in Brussels Lodge Hall June 29 at 8 p.m. After a short business period with items discussed to be finalized at next meeting, three members were given the birthday honours after closing lodge. Members retired to the Watts Funeral Home where30 members held a Rebekah funeral service for the late sister Lillian King.
