Entertainment tuAo- 7^7 CKNX president retires After more than 40 years working at CKNX radio and television Ross Hamilton will retire from his position as president September 1. Mr. Hamilton, 63, began as a sales representative for CKNX Radio them moved to television when CKNX TV went on the air in 1955. For the last five years he has been President of CKNX Broad­ casting Ltd. He will continue to sit on the board of directors of the company. Al Skelton, currently manager of CKNX-TV will become vice- president and general manager of CKNX Broadcasting. He will report to CFPL Broadcasting Ltd. President Bob Elsden of London who will also become president and a director of CKNX Broadcasting. Both companies are owned by The Blackburn Group Inc. of London. 50th ANNIVERSARY The family of Stewart and Doreen Dolmage would like to Invite their relatives and friends to an Open House at the Foresters Hall In Kinbum on Sunday, June 5th from 2-5 to help them celebrate their' 50th Wedding Anniversary. In April, the Brussels Ladies’ Auxiliary celebrated its 42nd anniversary. New members are always welcome to join; member­ ship is open to a daughter, granddaughter, or niece of a person who served in the military, and to wives of Ordinary and Associate members of the Branch. The Ladies Auxiliary is a non-profit organization involved in community affairs. In the past year the Brussels Auxiliary has made donations to The Salvation Army, the Brussels Fair Board, Survival Through Friendship House, Family Servi­ ces (Huron County), the Ted Foster Christmas Fund, Huron County Day Centre for the Homebound, Children’s Hospital of Western Ontario, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, theCancer Society and the Red Shield Appeal. It has alsodonated money to a family who lost their house to fire, purchased a rocking chair for the Callander Nursing Home and donated money to the Brussels Public School towards the pur­ chase of a band instrument.
