Bly th Inn leads slo-pitch league Thq Blyth Industrial Slo-Pitch League has swung back into action and the Blyth Inn is off to another fast start picking up wins in all its five games so far. They’ve outscor­ ed the opposition 42-13 so far. Central Huron schools gathered in Seaforth Tuesday for their area meet. Sports Blyth P.S. athletes compete by Sarah Allan and Michelle Nesbit OnTuesday, May24 B.P.S. held its annual Field Day. Grades 3-8 participated. Winners of each event go on to Seaforth on Tuesday, June 1st to compete against other schools. Each age division had their own champions. They are as follows: midget girls, Marie Cronyn; junior girls, Jennifer Stadelmann; inter- mediategirls, Stephanie Lentz, Erin Bolger; senior girls, Tammi Medd; midget boys, Henry Bos; junior boys, Paul Hessels; inter­ mediate boys, Mike McNichol; senior boys, Kevin Souch. Many previous school records were broken. The weather co­ operated and everyone had a great dav. Kids go to 'The Arch' Last week, several classes of students went on a trip to Blyth’s famous “arch”, which is a strip of land that was once the railway bed which crossed high over a second lower railway running at right angles to it. These trips were made to study birds, bugs, wild flowers, etc. One group wrote about their trip in their journals. Here are three unedited versions.
