Knox Youth Group
serves breakfast
The Youth Group of Knox
Presbyterian Church served
breakfast prior to the regular
morning service on May 22. A good
number enjoyed the usual good
breakfast served in the church
basement. Thanks to all members
ofthe group for a job well done. We
will be looking forward to another.
Mr. and Mrs. Ron Malcolm have
moved recently from Ethel to
Cranbrook.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Strickler
attended a 25th wedding anniver
sary in Plattsville on Saturday
evening, May 28.
Ball playing started for the
season on Monday evening, May
23 and will continue on Monday
and Thursday evenings at 7 o’clock
in the park. Anyone interested is
welcome to come and enjoy the
games. Of course the grass has to
be cut and anyone who would like to
help can contact Lloyd Smith. It
would be appreciated.
Word has been received of the
death this week of a former
Cranbrook resident, Mrs. Fred
Martin, Milton. She was the eldest
daughter ofthe late Peter Baker
and Jane Menarey and was
predeceased by a brother Earl and
a sister, Mina. A daughter Brenda,
Mrs. Floyd Brown and several
grandchildren survive.
