Phone 887-6677 Baptism service held at Duff's church Baptism was held at Duff’s United Church Sunday morning with Rev. Bonnie Lamble officiat­ ing. Children baptized were: An­ drew George Stewart, son of George and Kim Kruse; Amanda Lee and David George, children of Dan and Maxine McClory; Kim­ berly Ann, daughter of Terry and Vera Smith. ENRICHMENT PROGRAM by A. Williams and C. Llchti On Wednesday, May 18, select­ ed students from the junior divisions of Grey, Howick, Brus­ sels, Turnberry, Wingham and East Wawanosh Public Schools participated in an enrichment program held at Grey Central which focused on the subject of freshwater. Their studies revolved around nitrates, phosphates, car­ bon, acidity, hard and soft water. and chlorides. Mr. Andrews, a professor at the University of Toronto, was the guest speaker and instructor. The students took a hike through the bush and down by the Maitland River. They took samples of water from rivers and springs. The leaders of this expedition were Mr. Perrie and Mr. Garland. A SPECIAL PERFORMANCE by S. Stewart and K. McGuigan OnMonday, May 16,theGr. 5 and 6 went to the Brussels Arena to sing for the people in “Meals on Wheels’’. Some people from Gr. 5 and 6 had relatives in the crowd. The songs the classes sang were “You Light Up Mv Life”, “With A Little Love”, “Hitch Your Dream To The Morning Star”, “God Created The Universe”, and “Wind Music”. The performance was enjoyed by all. ICONS by Stacey Boyd Icons are computers that have been at our school once already this school year. All the students at Grey got to try them and they really enjoyed the Icons. They came May 17, and left May 24. On Sunday, May 22 Mr. and Mrs. Les Hart of Seaforth celebrat­ ed their 40th wedding anniversary at the home of their daughter Mrs. Keith Wilbee, RR 1, Walton. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Mel Hart, Walkerton; Mr. and Mrs. Bob Flood, Woodstock and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hart, Kitchener. Family home from Australia Gerald and Carolyn Sullivan, Mark and Craig have returned to Canadaafter asix month stay in Australia. A family gathering was held recently at Phil and Dianne Blake’s, Waterloo. Those present were Annie Reid; Doug and Marjory Fraser; Clayton and Bev Fraser, Jeremy and Amanda; Cheryl Fraser and Glen Mader.
