get $8 an hour, let alone get a raise
that big.”
Hank said he’s getting sick and
tired of all these strikes and
walkouts all across the country.
Too bad the farmers couldn’t strike
and really show people how
important they are, he said.
Ward said there’s one strike
they’re talking about in the papers
he’d like to see go ahead. He’d
almost walk the picket line with the
strikers in this case: a possible
strike by Revenue Canada tax
auditors.
FRIDAY: Ah to live in Toronto, Tim
said. A month or so ago they had a
picture inthepaperaboutanew
‘‘affordable house” that was about
the size of a two car garage.
“Affordable” was only $99,900.
Now he reads in the paper that by
the time they might be able to build
any of these houses they’d be up to
$115,000. “Will they make the
house the size of a one-car garage
orwill they make “affordable”
$115,000 now” he wondered.
