How ever, Paul Johnston pounced on a loose puck in front of the Lion’s Head nettocuttheNorthStars lead to 2-1. Goalie Ron Smith played exceptionally well to keep the Crusaders in the game. After regrouping between per iods, the Crusaders came to life and scored the only goals of the second period. Ken Cousins tapp ed in a pass from Dave Stephenson to tie the game. With a minute left in the period Dave Stephenson scored on a breakaway to give the Crusaders a 3 to 2 lead. In the third period Lion’s Head started quickly and scored twice in the first seven minutes to take the lead. Dave Montgomery tied the score on a pretty goal as he deked both defencemen and the goalie. However, a couple of penalties late in the game proved disastrous as Lion’s Head scored to force Saturday’s fifth game. The Crusaders’ Grand Cham pionship victory capped an out standing season, as the Brussels boys alsowon the Intermediate “A” crown, as well as both the Drayton and Milverton tourna ments earlier in the season. Mabel's Continued from page 4 $1 million from the federal govern- menttokeep going last year. “I wonder if they’ll be quite so loud in their complaints about govern ment subsidies now as they are when they complain farmers get too much government money?” THURSDAY: Tim was asking Ward what he thought about the government’s announcement that it’s going to be part of the U.S. space station even though the cost has gone up 50 percent. Ward said that when you really look at it, the money isn’t so much when you spread it over the next 17 years and you look at all the spinoffs for industry. Heck no, Tim said, according to the government our place in space is only going to cost us $1.2 billion. In 17years it will probably cost that much for a place in Toronto.
