Londesboro Compiled by June Fothergill Phone 523-4360 Happy Gang entertains Biyth Swinging Seniors The April meeting of the Happy Gang Seniors was held at Londes boro Hall on Wednesday, April 20. The Biyth Swinging Seniors were the invited guests. The seniors opened their meeting with “O Canada”. The President, Audrey Thompson, welcomed everyone. She read a poem, “Did you Forget '. An invitation to the openingof new hospital wing at Clinton on May 12 was read. A euchre tournament was to be held at 1:30p.m. Apri 1 21 atthehall. Clare Vincent recited “Casey and his Billy Goat”. The next meeting is on May 25 at 1:30 p.m. Fifteen tables of cards were played. Results were as follows: ladies' high, Estella Adams; Londesboro women attend UCW Spring Rally On Monday evening, April 18 four ladies, Brenda Radford, Ruth Shaddick, Mary Peel and June Fothergill, attended the Huron- Perth Spring Rally at Trinity United Church, Listowel. There was a good book display. The theme was “Protection of Refu gees: What can the Church do?”. After a sing song and welcome there was a book review. His sermon topic was, “Break the Circle of Worry’’. A family carnival will be held at Hullett Central School, Saturday, April 30from 7 - 9 p.m. sponsored by Londesboro Sunday School. A hymn-sing will be held next Sunday from 11 to 11:15.
