Three sittings of diners were served by the young people. Knox Church Auburn continues Easter celebration Rev. Dave Snihur conducted the morning service at Knox United Church. Mrs. Greg Park was organist. Call to Worship was read alternately. ‘‘This is My Father’s World’’ was sung followed by prayer of approach and the Lord’s Prayer. The announcements were given. Miss Rose Marie Young sang a solo, ‘‘In The Garden’ ’ with Mrs. Gordon Gross as pianist. The junior choir sang, “I Love the Lord” under the direction of Mrs. Allan Webster and Mrs. Gordon Gross. The children’s song was ‘‘It’s a Happy Day”. Rev. Snihur read the “Letters toGod’’ writtenby the Silver Tops hold card party The Silver Tops held the last euchre game of the season on Tuesday, April 5. There were six tables played euchre and two enjoyed cribbage. Winners were: high lady, Anne Giousher; low lady, Eunice Arthur; ladies’ most lone hands, Nancy Slater; high man, Warner An­ drews; low man, Len Shobbrook; men’s most lone hands, Ted Mills; lucky novelty prize, Eppie Law­ rence. People Recent visitors with Mrs. Fran­ ces Clark were Miss Jean Houston and Jean Jamieson of Toronto. Mr. William Anderson spent the weekend with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Anderson. Phone 526-7589 Pancake supper again a success Once again the Sunday School pancake supper was a great success. Sorry to report that Mrs. Bert Dougherty, mother of Mrs. Dana Bean, Auburn, is a patient in hospital following an accident last week. She is wished a speedy recovery. Mrs. F.J. Lapp of St. Thomas has returned home after visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Elliott Lapp. Mr. Stewart Toll of London and Marjorie McDougall visited on Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Toll of RR 3, Blyth. Mrs. Robert Peck, Mrs. Tom Haggitt, Mrs. Jim Cartwright and Marjorie McDougall enjoyed hear­ ing the “Ragtime, Ragtime Re­ vue” presented by Dave Hay and his entertainers. Mr. and Mrs. Fordyce Clark of Goderich, Mrs. Reg. Dunham, the former Margaret Hawkins of For­ est, Mr. and Mrs. Lome Brown of Clinton and Miss Lawrie Swan of Clinton were recent visitors with Mrs. Ellen Johnston.
