Mr. and Mrs. James Anderson of Guelph, Mr. and Mrs. gordon Henderson of Brucefield, Miss Vaughn Hunking of London, Mr. and Mrs. Murray Walsh, Bradley, Sandra and Michael of Blyth, Mrs. Patsy Hunking and Robert of Auburn were Sunday visitors with their mother and grandmother Mrs. Sarah Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. James Gaunt of Arva, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Elliott, Jacquiand Calli of London, Mr. and Mrs. Dwayne Mathers, and Brent of Mississauga, Suzanne Mathers of Toronto were Easter Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Melville Mathers. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hamilton ofWingham and Mr. and Mrs. David Cowan of Landsdown called on Mr. and Mrs. Melville Mathers. Easter service held at Knox A prelude of organ-piano Easter selection in conjunction with the beauty and aroma of several Easter lilies in full bloom, carnations and other multi-coloured arrange­ ments added to the celebration of the resurrection in Knox United Church, Sunday morning at 11:15 a.m. Rev. John G. Roberts conducted the service. Mrs. George Procter, organist and Mrs. Leslie Shaw, pianist, accompanied the hymns. The choir soloist, George Cull, rendered a special arrangement of “When 1 Survey the Wondrous Cross’’ with organ accompani­ ment. The Choir anthem, “Hodie” (Today) was accompanied by Mrs. Procter at the piano. The message centred around I Cor.: 15 and Mark: 15 which give two separate writings of the resurrection event. The resurrection is the founda­ tion of the gospel. There would be no gospel without it. Concepts of the resurrection caused difficulties from the beginning. Was it possible for Christ to proclaim the Mr. and Mrs. Rob Roy and Christina of Lakefield, Mr. and Mrs. Rick Ball, Matthew and Alicia of Hanover, Miss Sheila Anderson of London, Doug Cousins of Cambridge, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Anderson of Goderich spent the Easter weekend with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Ross Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Stonehouse were Easter Sunday afternoon visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Mait­ land Edgar of Petrolia. Miss Annie Cook is a patient in Victoria Hospital, London. Mr. Vincent Makas and daugh­ ter Alicia were Easter visitors with Mrs. Mabel Wheeler. Mr. and Mrs. John Galbraith, resurrection when persons could see the sealed tomb? The Jews had a simple explanation - the body was stolen; but the appearance of the risen Lord silenced that theory. Three concepts were set forth: 1. Confirmation, 2. Transformation, 3. Salvation. Things done by Jesus were of Sunrise service held at Knox church Easter dawned to the singing of birds as 40 members of Knox United Church, Belgrave wended their way to the annual, 7 a.m. Sunrise Service held in the sanctu­ ary of the church. The inspiring service of hymn singing, scripture readingsand meditations was conducted by Mrs. John McIntosh, Mrs. James Hunter, Mrs. John Roberts and G. Ross Anderson. Mrs. George Procter, organist, accompanied the singing of “Were You There,” “Love Lifted Me’’, and Easter Michael and Kelly of Whitby spent Easter weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Lome Campbell. They also visited with her mother Mrs. Olive Campbell and her sister Mrs. Ivy Cloakey. Easter Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Mayberry and family of Londes- borowere Mrs. Elizabeth Procter, Belgrave, Mrs. Frank Procter, Karen and Kevin of RR 5, Brussels, Marjorie Procter, Philip Stopforth of London, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Zettler and Sherry, Amanda and Alicia of RR 4, Walkerton. Visiting at the home of Mrs. Elizabeth Procter over the week­ end were Marjorie Procter and Philip Stopforth of London. Mr. and Mrs. Geoff Viglianti and Stephanie of London were Easter visitors with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Shaw. Mrs. Bern Crellin (Nora Wheel­ er) London died on Saturday, April 2, in Parkwood Hospital, London. Belgrave friends and neighbours extend sympathy to the Wheeler relatives. God. The faith of the disciples was the result of Christ’s appearance. Salvation is the hope and promise found in Jesus through the resur­ rection. The offertory contributions were received by Kenneth Procter, Ross Higgins, Douglas Casemore, and John R. Taylor. related hymns.
