Choirs to join in rock musical
When five area Secondary
School Choirs come together at
Central Huron S.S. in Clinton on
Feb. 26 for their annual all day
Music Festival Workshop, the
emphasis will be on a Rock Contata
- “The Creation” by Bobrourtz and
Porter.
For several years now, the choirs
from Centennial Collegiate Insti
tute in Guelph, Listowel District
Secondary Shcool,* Mitchell Dis
trict High School. South Huron
District High School in Exeter and
Central Huron Secondary School in
Clinton have participated in this
workshop, and this year they will
make their first attempt at a
contata. The choirs will be accom

group.
Instructor and director for the
workshop will be Brainard Blydon
Taylor - assistant conductor of the
Ontario Youth Choir. At 7:30 p.m.,
as a culmination of the day’s
activities, the choirs will present a
public concert in Central Huron
Auditorium. Admission is $3.00.
Each choir will perform their
own repertoire, and then all three
hundred students will combine
their voices and talents to perform
thecontata “TheCreation” (under
the very capable direction of Mr.
Taylor).
An evening of beautiful music is
promosed for all who will attend.
Let’s all show our support for our
fine young talented teenagers by
coming out on Feb. 26 to Central
Huron Auditorium.

interesting display of items from
her home background along with

slides of that beautiful country
