Brussels Bulls romp 21-7 over Seaforth Juniors

The Bulls travelled to Seaforth to
play the Centennaires on Friday
night. They picked up a rather easy
victory which didn’t mean any
thing to the standings.

Blyth Overloads unload on Hanover
The Blyth Radfords Overloads
Oldtimers recorded a victory and
tie in the past week.
OnSaturday, Feb. 6theOver-
loads hosted the Hanover Oldtim
ers. The Overloads avenged an
earlier defeat with a 9 to 4 victory.
Doug Scrimgeour lead Blyth with
three goals. Tom Black scored
twice, while Bryan Black, John
Watson, Jim Carter and Tom
Jarrett scored singles.
On Sunday, Feb. 14 the Over
loads travelled to Clinton to play

ball rolling. Mike Chapman added
the second goal from line mates Bill
Kerr and Paul Edwards at 14:59.

goals were scored by Wayne

The Overloads will play in
Wingham on Thursday, Feb. 18 at
10:00 against the Ministry of
Natural Resources team.
Seaforth got their first goal at
14:07.
Kevin McArter scored from
defenceman Bill Haines a minute
later. Play continued until 5:26
when Brian Campbell scored a
short-handed goal unassisted.
Kevin McArter scored their second
short-handed goal at 4:37 from
defenceman Kevin Lee and Tim
Fritz.
Tim Fritz scored a power play
goal from Paul Edwards just 17
seconds later. Seaforth added a
goal at the 2:53 mark with the
Bulls’ Bill Kerr scoring at 2:28 from
team mate Brian Campbell.
Seaforth added their third goal
with just 29 seconds left on the
clock and Brussels holding a 7-3
lead at the end of 20 minutes of
play.
Seaforth scored a power play
goal at 16:15 and added a second
goal just 48 seconds later. Bill Ken-
scored from Mike Vincent at 12:21
with Tim Fritz scoring from Mike
Chapman and Kevin McArter at
12:05. They played five more
minutes before Mike Chapman
scoredfromTimFritz. Injust 12
seconds Tim Fritz scored from
Kevin McArter and Mike Chap
man.
Bob McMillan scored at 4:12
from Kevin Lee and Murray
Houghton. Brian Campbell scored
unassisted at 2:13. Bill Kerr added
one more goal from Mike Vincent
with 56 seconds remaining in the
period and the Bulls holding a 14-5
lead.
Tim Fritz scored from Kevin
McArter and Mike Chapman in the
first minute of the third period.
Defenseman Doug Taylor scor
ed from Mike Vincent three
minutes later. Ron Strome scored a
short-handed goal from Bill Kerr at
13:43. Kevin McArter scored from
Tim Fritz at 10:07. Ron Strome
scored unassisted at 8:01.
Mike Chapman scored a power
play goal from linemates Fritz and
McArter and with just 28 seconds
left in the game Chapman scored
assisted by McArter and Fritz.
Seaforth scored twogoals in the
third period with the final score
reading 21-7 in the Bulls favour.

ent played in net for the victory.
The team was to have travelled
to Wellesley on Saturday night but
the game was cancelled because of
the stormy weather. The game is to
be re-scheduled but game time was
still not available at press time.
There will be no home game this
Sunday as some teams will still be
completing their regular schedule
this weekend. Playoffs will hope
fully get started the last weekend of
February.
